If you have a damaged, old, tired, buckled or want to refresh and recolour your floor please start by contacting us by phone or email. You can send some images of the area to our email in**@**************co.uk <<<click the email to view.
Once we review the images we can offer a free, no-obligation survey where we will check important factors and provide you with professional advice to give you the desired finish for your floor.
During the wood floor renovation process we will usually start with repairs and then move onto the sanding with our dust free sanders.
After sanding we apply high quality primers and lacquers or oils for the desired finish.

Stain Colours, Oil & Lacquer Options
We work with a variety of stains, oils and lacquers. Our recommended brands are Morrells, Osmo, Lecol, and Bona.
The brand Bona is our primary supplier of Lacquers due to the durability, drying time and low odour and VOC. It comes in a selection of sheens including Gloss, Silk Matt, Matt and Extra Matt.
In certain projects we have recommended or been required to work with other brands such as Junckers and Woca. If you require a certain product then we can likely work with that.

Wood Species We Work With
The most popular wood species we work on are Pine and Oak.

Another common wood is the hardwood species from Asia called Merbau which is often found by customers lifting up their carpets to discover this beautiful wood. It has distinct orange-brown to darker reddish colours.
We have also worked with Ash, Elm, Yellow Balau, Sapele and many other wood species so feel free to send some pictures across so we can help determine what wood it is and the steps to restoring it.

Wood floor restoration involves repairing, sanding, and refinishing hardwood floors to bring back their original beauty and functionality.
Signs include visible scratches, dullness, water damage, and gaps between the planks.

On average restoration can take 1 to 3 days. Depending on the extent of the work needed, we have completed projects weeks long.
Most of the dust is extracted using our dust free machines but the edge sanding can generate some dust. This is fully hoovered up before we can apply any lacquers or oils so there are no traces of dust. There can be dust in the air so a dust and vacuum is recommended after the process.
Lacquers can be gently walked on after a few hours but do not fully cure for around 72 hours or so. Oils take longer to dry especially in humid conditions so it can take up to 2-3 days to dry fully. Please note you can still walk on the floors generally within 6-12 hours depending on a few factors. Our restorers or office can advice.

While DIY restoration is possible, we end up working on many projects where someone has started sanding their own floor but has made a mistake. Hiring professionals ensures better results and minimises the risk of damage.
